We have a guest tonight — our guest is Mark Russell Bell and I was going to say, Mark, what you ought to do is write a book around — about your own story because some of the experiences that you've had obviously are extremely fascinating and why does it always — it seems to happen to one person in particular and in this case you and here I go, you know — I've been looking for flying saucers of E.T.s or poltergeists ("MY") my whole life and they never come to visit me. And then here you are — you can't get rid of them.
Q: Well sometimes you might have the experience without even realizing it. For example, one of the ways the Spirit communicates with me is through pennies. I'm constantly finding pennies and it's a very optimistic, good sign. I remember once talking to my haircutter saying that, "Well I think that dimes and quarters are a bad sign. And, of course, Spirit communicates with us ("IN THE") the way that we interpret — you know, in terms of what we understand so there were a few times when I received quarters and I mean I knew ("THAT IT") what it signified. One time ("I WAS AT") in the supermarket and a quarter dropped down out of nowhere into the middle of the lane. And I quickly realized it was because I — I basically had been working in different temporary assignments ("IN" "NO") between my book promotions.

Q: And at this point I was working for a — I thought, "Well I'll work for a non-profit. I don't want to work for corporations; nothing with shareholders. So I'll work for a non-profit." It turned out to be the Boy Scouts ("OF ALL") of all things. And I just, you know, I thought, "Well — " you know. But as I worked there I began seeing — you know, I was doing the data entry of the different memberships. And I began seeing that there were — well there were a lot of the parents that were involved in the military and the way that the scouts were ranked was very militaristic. And then I eventually found out later too that there was some Nazi involvement in terms of the early founding of the Boy Scouts. So it was just ("A") very — and plus the homophobia and all that, which I didn't even realize that the lawsuit hadn't been settled at the time. ("BECAUSE") You know, I haven't really been that much up on the news because I was so involved in all this. So I guess the next step I should talk about was ("I") when I came back and this was all going on. There was one time when I reached the conclusion that this Loving Christ Force was in my life and somehow it had selected me as it had selected many people throughout history ("TO") to document its morality and Love. And so I ("FEL") — and I felt like this psychic energy coming out of my right leg. And I mean I definitely felt like something genetically was changing within me or something. I mean I didn't know what was going on at the time. I remember laying down and thinking, "Well will I wake up even?" I mean it was just so bizarre. I never had anything like that happen before.
A: Now this happened when, Mark, and how far back?
Q: This happened pretty soon after I came back from Oklahoma. And I was trying to figure out well why was this happening in my life? All these religious symbols? The burning bushes? The Paramountain? I — one time I thought, "Well maybe I'm the reincarnation of Jesus Christ" which is a fairly common delusion. And so I was researching Jesus. I was looking in all the indexes of all my books and probably the most interesting connection came in one of the books by Zecharia Sitchin. And it — let's see, I think it was —

Q: Let me see. Oh — in — well I first found out that there was this Bel-Marduk character. And — who had been like en(tombed) — and then in The Cosmic Code I read this sentence. It said — ancient texts are cited concerning Marduk's emergence from the Great Pyramid. Sitchin identified these texts on pages 59/84 as "precursors of the New Testament tale of the death, entombment, and resurrection of Jesus. Sentenced to" die (I mistakenly said "die" at first) — to "exile, Ra/Marduk became Amen-Ra, the unseen god . . .scholars seriously debated at the turn of this century whether his story was a prototype of the story of Christ." So that and then I found this amulet at a Silver Lake/Echo Park area antique story. There was this little antique store and the woman who owned it ("WAS") had gone all over the world and, in fact, that Egyptian whatever-it-is on the cover of New Testament was something she had there in her store. What I think that is is an Italian knock-off of some ancient artifact but it does show some kind of reptilian hominid ancestry.
A: My gosh.
Q: And I al(so) ("THE") — also found there at the store this small little medallion or coin and I have a picture of that in the book as well. ("BUT" "IT") It's me with like an Egyptian pharaoh hat on. It's a side view but (or "BUT") I have very distinctive eyes and it was like looking in a mirror when I saw this medallion. Plus, my horoscope that same day had said "gifts of love." So I mean I think this just shows that even though there are some very skeptical people out there, there are people who have different life experiences and mine just happens to encompass a lot of the so-called "paranormal." It's not paranormal to me, though. It's just 'purely normal' to me.
A: Right.
Q: It's just my, you know — just the way it is.
A: Now but in some of these things that happened to you and I know that you were given three more commandments that you began to touch on a little bit. Maybe . . .
Q: Well it began as three but then I actually — ("I") I did — there's a section of the New Testament ("AT") — the website at testament.org and it's called Spiritual Advice. And I actually have a list of the first ten commandments and then I have an additional list ("OF") of twenty-three Spiritual Advice in all. For example, "An Eye For An Eye" is one of them. Another one, for example, is "Thou Shalt Not Participate In Cover-Ups" and ("THAT") that is basically chronicled in one of my experiences in the New Testament section. And, by the way, I — one of my experiences has been I keep finding myself confronted with all these different cover-ups. And I've documented some of them, you know, in my experiences at the website.
A: Now what kind of cover-ups are you talking about, Mark? Do you mean like government-type cover-ups or just your . . . ?
Q: Well I was involved in one definite government ("CO") cover-up myself because one of my temp jobs was working TeleTech for the United States Postal Service. And I was there — ("I DON'T KNOW") couple or three months. And I eventually left because I basically was told that I couldn't give correct postal rates to callers. I couldn't give the lower book rate to callers unless they specifically asked for the special standard mail rate. And I said, "Well that's ridiculous. No one's going to use those terms." ("WELL") What it was, was the government wanted people to pay more. They wanted to make more money off of the public. ("AND") You know — and these are the kind of cover-ups ("THAT I'M") I keep encountering.
A: Okay, right. ("NOT TO")
Q: Not to — I should also add that ("MANY") many media people — like I even had friends who are journalists who haven't breathed a word of my story out of concern for advertisers and you name it. But that's —
A: I didn't find anything out of line with your books. I mean my gosh I find it so interesting. That's why we wanted you to come on the show.
Q: Exactly. ("NO") Well it's very threatening — but you can see how it would be very threatening to materialistic people. Oh I should add that one of my other commandments ("THAT") — you know, again, I try to make these very presentable to people. And in my own experience I basically ("HAVE") — you know, I was making $100,000 a year as an independent contractor for Paramount Pictures before this event happened. But, again, after my experience, I realized that my main commitment was not to the corporation because Paramount Pictures doesn't really exist. It's just a name on paper. And in terms of serving the corporation — ("AN") I think it's an evil principality because you find yourself doing things that you wouldn't do yourself but you're doing it 'for the company.' But the company doesn't exist. Hello?
