S: Hi. Is that Mark?
Q: Yes, it is.
S: Mark, this is Seamus O’Connolly. (“HI”) New Mexico.

S: Hi. We are on the air.

S: And, Mark, I think the best place to start here is how did you first become aware of this phenomenon?
Q: Well I had been researching for several years various unexplained phenomena and then I eventually focused in on talking poltergeist cases throughout history, (“UM”) such as the drummer of Tedworth case in the seventeenth century; other seventeenth cases in Italy and Massachusetts; and then in the nineteenth century (“UM”) there was a Gaelic case involving a “goblin” — (“IN”) Donald MacGregor, and then an Icelandic case. Of course, the major case was the Bell Witch here in Tennessee in the nineteenth century. And then there was the Mary Jobson case that was also very well known; and the Cashen’s Gap case in the Isle of Man in the 20th Century. (“AND THEN A”) The most recent one has been the Messages From Michael case, which was an amassing of various spirits — of course, now all these cases have given way to alien cases so — and it’s been quite fascinating to research.
S: I see. So this particular one on which you wrote the book — the family in Oklahoma —
Q: Right.
S: How did you come to find out about that?
Q: Well I had found a Fortean (Times) magazine that had an article and, having researched these other cases, I immediately saw many different parallels. But, of course, in this case they were talking about aliens. The family does, in fact, think that they are aliens but yet their anecdotal evidence suggests different spirits (“UM”) manifesting in their house as well. So, again, in all these cases we have an amassing of spirits which takes us back to the biblical times where . . . legion . . . that many devils had entered into a person. I guess we have to remember too that this was the possessed person’s reaction or other people’s reaction in terms of calling them devils. So, again, we always have this (“YOU KNOW”) consideration of evil in things that we do not understand.
S: (O)kay, now on the cover of . . . manhole and what appears to be a guardian angel preventing him from doing that. What is the significance of that?
Q: Well, um, the cover art is by Mark Kostabi who’s a well-known postmodernist and — (“IT’S A”) just a basic metaphor for all of us in life. And, of course, you see the dollar insignia in the money which is, of course — money is the root of all evil. What else is new? What happened, though, I should explain, in those poltergeist . . . course, and one of them was the fact that the talking amassing of spirits was referring to people by the same nickname even though these cases couldn’t know about the other cases. So when I heard about the (new) Bell case I decided I’d better get down there to check it out because it did seem like there was something shared and there was — (“UM”) maybe it was the same Entity in each of the various cases. . . .
S: (malfunction continues as Seamus asks about what I experienced in Oklahoma)
Q: I witnessed . . . phenomena . . . heard ghosts for the first time in my life . . . I’d never heard anything like it before. There were a couple cases when I did hear an apparent strange voice when I was a child but this was the first time I’d actually heard something that didn’t seem of this world. Of course, there were pennies being materialized all the time and, of course, those photographs are in the book of the various (“YOU KNOW”) phenomena that the house has shown. Um — (“AND”) there was insect phenomena. There was — just everything and I was, of course, collecting stories and there was an account of bigfoot, (“[O]F”) flying saucers. There was a photo of various invisible — transparent aliens in a window — at least this is what the family thinks they are. Aliens. There was an ABC special, by the way, that did interview the people in the house called “Ghosts, Spirits — ” — no — “Ghosts, (“PSY”) Mediums, Psychics: Put To The Test.” And I did not participate in that. That was before I went to the house. And that was quite compelling evidence because it did have some evidence on that special such as a chair moving when no one was there; a face in the window which was done by heat photography; and it was really (“QUITE A GOOD” “QUITE”) quite a good and compelling anecdotal evidence special.
S: Now you did hear a voice while you were there?
Q: Well I heard a little spirit child giggling. We were — she was taking me, um, on a tour of the area — Twyla was her name. And, by the way, I found out that this family also had Bell ancestry. In fact, several of the people there were in fact named Bell so this referred me back to the Bell Witch case. And, anyway — so that was very compelling to me. (“SO”) Then when I came back to L.A. the phenomena was increasing around me so it didn’t just stay in Tennessee (I meant Oklahoma), it came back with me. I think it had always had been with me, it’s just that I wasn’t aware of it.
S: So what happened when you got back to California?
Q: Well I decided to keep on interviewing people because I found that when I did interviews, I was getting small spirit messages on the tapes, which of course we were not — we did not hear at the time of the interviews. So, of course, since I have a film industry background, I was interested in seeing the various tie-ins with the paranormal and Hollywood because, of course, you have the things like “Every movie made is a miracle” and when you really think about movies, you’re sort of (“UM”) reaching into your subconscious to tell various historical stories. So — at least that’s the way it used to be. Now it’s just sort of much action/adventure potboilers for money.
S: And, of course, there is a photograph section in the book and there are a number of pictures in there. And there is one that appears (to be) a large apelike creature. Exactly what is that?
Q: That’s a bigfoot. (“N”) And I also have a photo of some burned bushes phenomena that happened outside my condo. Of course, at the time I didn’t find — I didn’t understand what that signified but, of course, I realize now that was sort of a religious symbol — having the burning bushes outside my home.
S: What exactly happened there?
Q: Well this happened (“UM”) a year or two before I went to Oklahoma and, basically, it was around the fourth of July so I thought it might have been started by fireworks or something but, of course — it happened twice. The first time it happened it was early in the evening. It was dark out and the bush outside my condo was on fire so, of course, I sort of panicked. I called the fire department. And I was worried that there might be an arsonist in the area even though it was something that nobody had seen anything at the time. So then a few days later I was sort of watching in case it happened again and I suddenly saw some smoke. And I was, like, looking right out the balcony when it started this time. So I ran outside, thinking that I would catch the culprit and, of course, there was nobody there. I called the fire department, waited for them to come out, filed a report and everything. (“THEN”) So then I waited — you know, over a year, I finally — they did not clear the hillside so I finally — I decided to take a picture of these bushes and a week after I did that they landscaped the hillside. And, then, of course, I realized too — I had been working at Paramount Pictures, which is well-known for the famous mountain logo — and so then, of course, you have the parallel with Moses going to the mountain. And I started getting these messages. For example, my TV would turn on (“AND”) then quickly turn off. One of them was some commercial. I don’t even know what the commercial was — probably for some perfume or something. And it said: “Love is the only religion.” And so when I was getting these messages I would get them in various ways and repeatedly through songs on the radio, through newspaper and magazine accounts — and I was getting — some of them were the same message over and over again. I remember one song was — the lyrics were: “Shouldn’t have took more than you gave” — and that same line was repeated over and over again. So, of course, this led me actually to realize that these were, in fact, new commandments from Spirit. And, of course, one of them was “Thou shalt not participate in cover-ups” because in this day and age just about everything that is being discovered is being covered-up by one source or another for their own self-interest. (“I”) I think one of the things I realized before going to Oklahoma was that, you know, I just thought, “What’s wrong with the world? All we do is watch movies and watch TV and isn’t there anything else going on in the world?” And, of course, you realize that there is a lot going on in the world, it’s just that NASA and other scientific areas are not sharing their information—for example, the Mars discoveries—because they don’t — they’re too busy militarizing outer space and putting all the discoveries into their own pockets, so to speak. So it goes — of course, we get back to the cover of my book.
S: Yeah.
Q: Um-huh.
S: You know, the thing that struck me the most, though, is the picture of that bigfoot. Did you take that?
Q: No, I didn’t. I called up a gentleman who runs an operation called Bigfoot Central up in Washington and a ranger had taken it who works for the park service. And, of course, he didn’t want to reveal his name because he was worried that other people would make fun of him or not believe him. I remember asking him — I said — I asked for his name but he wouldn’t give it to me. It turns out that this gentleman’s wife, by the way, is also — (“NAME”) her maiden name was Bell. So again you have the Bell contact. And, of course, what happened with me — of course, my name is Mark Russell Bell. And what happened is I have a friend named Marie who basically had channeled that I should have a pseudonym Mark Russell Bell because my real name is Mark Gordon Russell. And so I guess that’s another Bell parallel.
S: I see.
Q: Though she never experienced anything like that before. She was crossing Sunset Boulevard and just heard, “MARK RUSSELL BELL.” And we had, of course, had been — I had just been talking to her recently about perhaps taking on a pseudonym. By the way, I guess I should mention that the book is free and available on the Internet so there is no charge for all this various anecdotal evidence. People can just go to the website at testament.org and it’s all laid out — all the evidence is just there for people.
S: Well it certainly is interesting. Now the guy up in Washington you spoke to, do you remember his name?
Q: Let’s see — yeah. Cliff Crook.
S: Yeah, I’ve had him on the program.
Q: Right. And he told me ‘Crook — not as in a culprit but as in Moses’s staff,’ which I thought was kind of cute when I called.
S: Well I see. He put on a very interesting program. You know, I’m really surprised — that picture. I’ve never seen it before and I mean that would certainly appear to be compelling evidence. I mean that —
Q: Well it was. In fact, there was a time when I suggested to Art Bell to put it on his show. In fact, (“I”) at one point he did ask me to be on “Dreamland” but it didn’t quite work out. When I was speaking to his — the lady who does his booking, Ramona, basically there was something I said that disturbed her so profoundly that she terminated the call. And it’s been very hard getting my message out because the media doesn’t know how to handle me because I don’t really have anything to sell. I just have information to share and people are uncomfortable with some of the truths I present. For example, that God is always testing us, offering us things and money. And we keep flunking the test. We keep keeping the money for our self instead of sharing it with others and that’s not a message that any of the news media wants to share right now.
S: Probably not. Do you remember what you said that upset her so much?
Q: Well I have the actual transcript — because I was recording it — of course, my book is a documentary. It’s all question and answer interview material and journals. So I said, ‘Do you mind if I tape this call because I would like to have a documentary version of a booking?’ So I did tape it and the transcript is on the website. See, I have a Testament portion and then what I did after coming back to L.A. — the new interviews are in a new book called New Testament which is published on the Internet and, of course, that isn’t available as a book. S: Well I see. He put on a very interesting program. You know, I’m really surprised — that picture. I’ve never seen it before and I mean that would certainly appear to be compelling evidence. I mean that —
Q: Well it was. In fact, there was a time when I suggested to Art Bell to put it on his show. In fact, (“I”) at one point he did ask me to be on “Dreamland” but it didn’t quite work out. When I was speaking to his — the lady who does his booking, Ramona, basically there was something I said that disturbed her so profoundly that she terminated the call. And it’s been very hard getting my message out because the media doesn’t know how to handle me because I don’t really have anything to sell. I just have information to share and people are uncomfortable with some of the truths I present. For example, that God is always testing us, offering us things and money. And we keep flunking the test. We keep keeping the money for our self instead of sharing it with others and that’s not a message that any of the news media wants to share right now.
S: Probably not. Do you remember what you said that upset her so much?
Q: Well I have the actual transcript — because I was recording it — of course, my book is a documentary. It’s all question and answer interview material and journals. So I said, ‘Do you mind if I tape this call because I would like to have a documentary version of a booking?’ So I did tape it and the transcript is on the website. See, I have a Testament portion and then what I did after coming back to L.A. — the new interviews are in a new book called New Testament which is published on the Internet and, of course, that isn’t available as a book. Like Testament is available — you can order it through bookstores or what-have-you but this new book is just an original book for the Internet.
S: Okay and would you give out that website again?
Q: Okay. It’s https://testament.org. You don’t need the www.
S: (O)kay. And would you repeat that one more time.
Q: Sure.
S: I tried to write it down and couldn’t get it all.
Q: Just testament.org — it’s very easy to remember.

Q: Right. In fact, a couple weeks ago, I released a new news release and that’s now on the New Testament side. I don’t think that I sent you a copy of that one.
S: No, I just have Testament and it is a really interesting volume and I thank you for that.
Q: Okay.
S: Mark, I really do appreciate your getting up early out there to talk to us here in Hobbs. It’s been a fascinating interview. (“YES” “AN[D] I”)
Q: I would like to share more information — for example, the fact that I discovered my previous incarnation as Bel-Marduk who was also known as the priest Ra-Ta back in ancient Egypt so there is a lot of Bel synchronicity that they can read about when they go to the website.
