B: Barbara Simpson, host of “Coast to Coast AM” radio show
J: John Hogue, guest on “Coast to Coast AM”
(TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: I CALLED DURING THE JANUARY 2/3, 2001 BROADCAST OF "COAST TO COAST AM.") S: Thank you for calling "Coast to Coast AM." Can you please hold?
Q: Yes, I can.
S: Thank you. . . . Thank you for holding. Do you have a question or comment for John Hogue?
Q: Yes, I do.
S: Okay, great. Just turn off the radio and listen to the show through the phone. And when you hear Barbara call for the wild card line, you'll be on the air.
Q: Thank you.
S: Thank you.
B: . . . And this is Barbara Simpson with you on "Coast to Coast AM." We're talking with John Hogue . . . Let's go to our wild card line. (BEEP) How are you and where are you calling from?
Q: Hi, I'm calling from Los Angeles.
B: What's your name?
Q: Well my nickname, oddly enough, is 'Mabus' so I've researched that and I do think that is (an) incorrect conclusion that some have signaled that to be the antichrist —
J: Oh really?
Q: — which is a metaphor.
J: . . . would agree with you.
Q: It's a metaphor. But what I want —
J: . . . (small laugh) Go ahead.
Q: But what I wanted to ask you about — what you were saying before about how religion is interpreted in many different ways also seems true for Nostradamus. In some cases, I think this is correct but others are very clear like Century X, Quatrain 72 where 1999 is mentioned and then others like Century 1, Quatrains 95 and 96 which seems very specific and clear. What do you think about that?
J: Well your specific — your version of specific and clear may not be another's and that is one thing that at the very least gets revealed in the study of Nostradamus. So many people for the last four centuries have thought they had a clear handle on what Nostradamus said. It doesn't mean they were wrong but, for instance, in the case of the 1999 and seven months prophecy, which talks about the great king of terror descending from the sky, resurrecting the great king of the Mongols, before and after Mars rules happily. That probably —
Q: 'Angel moi.'
J: Hmm? Angolmois is, though — is a — is not about the area, the district in France because it doesn't apply to anything in the prophecy. But it is probably about — it's an enigmatic play of the word Mongol.
Q: I have thought it was a play on the French word 'moi.'
J: Now the 1999 and seven months — most of us were expecting some person —
B: Yeah.
J: — to be the great king of terror. But — since no person appeared, it is — it makes me think of the other way that Nostradamus hides people behind things . . .
Q: Well maybe he did appear but nobody let him speak.
J: . . . and things behind people. So that the great King of Terror in '99 — or it was July of 2000, which is implied by the same line. You get global warming as the Great King of Terror descending from (the) sky. It's not a person. It's a phenomenon.
B: Thank you for your question, L.A. I appreciate — (line disconnected) . . . is there something — you mentioned earlier that something big is coming. Did you mean that that something big is coming this year or just in the future generically?
J: In the future generically. . . .
(TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: EMAIL I HAD SENT HOGUE PRIOR TO THE CALL INCLUDED A NEWS RELEASE WHERE THE NOSTRADAMUS QUATRAIN WITH THE WORD 'ANGOLMOIS' WAS PRESENTED WITH AN E INSTEAD OF THE FIRST O BASED ON MY PHONETIC RENDERING.)
Q: Yes, I can.
